Battle Cry
Battle cry is a triggered ability first introduced in Mirrodin Besieged and gives a +1/+0 bonus to each other attacking creature, each instance of Battle cry triggers separately.

- 702.91. Battle Cry
- 702.91a Battle cry is a triggered ability. “Battle cry” means “Whenever this creature attacks, each other attacking creature gets +1/+0 until end of turn.”
- 702.91b If a creature has multiple instances of battle cry, each triggers separately.
- The +1/+0 bonus applies to each other attacking creature, but not to the creature with battle cry itself.
- The +1/+0 bonus remains until the end of the turn, even if the creature with battle cry leaves the battlefield or stops being an attacking creature.
- If a creature with battle cry attacks more than once in a turn (due to an additional combat phase being created), its battle cry ability will trigger each time. The results are cumulative.
- In Two-Headed Giant and other multiplayer variants where players share a turn, attacking creatures controlled by a teammate also receive the +1/+0 bonus.
History
Released on February 4, 2011, Battle cry signified the raised morale for Mirrodin’s hope to become what once was, but ultimately failed towards the Phyrexian corruption.
Battle cry is a strong creature mechanic that means more creatures on the battlefield or more sources of Battle cry will greatly benefit the attacking player.
Battle cry was heavily encouraged during Modern implementations as it found place through the Scars of Mirrodin block, along side Tempered Steel, Memnite, and Signal Pest
Battle Cry in practice
Battle cry is a combat oriented ability that buffs power among the attackers side, creature oriented, two sources of battlecry among 4 attacking creatures means a total increase of 6 points of damage on top of their raw power.
Often times Battle cry sources end up being target of removal and ultimately don’t end up living to reap their profits, or in the attrition of battle they end up being blocked and its a Battle cry source gone.
